Working Principle
Two “8” type rotors rotating in the opposite direction are put in a firm flow detection chamber, precisely machined calibration gear makes the rotors keep the correct relative position. It keeps optimal working intervals between rotors, rotors and housing, and glands. The intervals provide continuous and non-contacting seal.

In Picture 1, using the upper and lower “8” type rotors with opposite rotation in four different positions, it illustrates the flow detection principle.
Position 1: When the rotors anticlockwise rotate to horizontal position, gas gets into the space of housing and rotors;

Position 2: When the lower rotor rotates to horizontal position, there is gas with fixed volume in the bottom of flow detection chamber;

Position 3: When the upper and lower rotors continue to rotate, gas in the bottom of flow detection chamber is discharged;

Position 4: Simultaneously, the upper rotor clockwise rotates to horizontal position, there is gas in the upside of flow detection chamber with same volume as the gas in the bottom. When each pair of rotors rotate one round, same volume gas is discharged four times.

When gas gets into inlet end, it drives the rotors to rotate, fixed volume flow is discharged from outlet every one round, which this is rotation constant displacement principle. Rotor rotation accomplishes flow detection and metering via pulse signal.
